Survive or Die!

Indeed, our businesses are going through tough times, but the question is, are you only going to fold your arms, panic and watch your business crumble? The answer should be no, a great mindset now would be to try and turn every challenge into an opportunity to innovate and stay ahead of your business game.

Look around and see how your business can adapt to the current situation, find ways of reinventing and changing your game plan, surely it is not business as usual but business unusual is surely a great thing as well. Maybe your business needed this time to evolve and take new shape, direction and course, just be open minded about it and stay alert. Research and strategize your business model, upgrade your skills, take time to revamp your business space should it be the case, but just keep going. There is nothing you cannot accomplish.

Use this time to forecast and brainstorm about the new normal of your business. Below are some few business tips that you can brainstorm over during this pandemic,

  • Take Care of your customers. Checking up on your customers either through phone calls, text messages or emails will surely mean a lot and creates a sense of loyalty to you. They will feel you care about them and thus return the favor by continued support post the pandemic as well as be there for your business as it evolves and takes a new normal.

  • Check On Your Employees. They have been on the ground when all was well, do show empathy and check on them during such a tough time for everyone. They have been rowing your boat during good times and it’s only humane to be there for them even during bad times, it will only strengthen your bond as well.

  • Re-forecast your financials. This is a time to thoroughly go through and reflect on your business financial habits, where can you cuts costs, what where the business spending habits and how can you keep all costs at a minimum moving forward. This process can also help you measure the growth of the business as well as pick up on financial trends.

  • Brainstorm On New Revenue streams. This is one crucial time for all businesspersons to try by all means to ensure that they more than one stream of revenue income. This pandemic has taught all of us a business of trying to have multiple income streams, therefore put on your think cap and roll. Even if it means from selling products to providing service, just work on it!

  • Work On Your Mental Health. This is one very important aspect that should not be overlooked during such a time. We all need to ensure we take care of our mental state as this pandemic weighs heavily on it. Try to engage yourself on things you never got time to do, exercise, read books, bake, spend time with family, just make sure you take care of Self!
