Responding to clients who were elated to have the brand finally brought to their doorstep, the founder, Femi Olayebi, who is also the convener of the Lagos Leather Fair, remarked that she was super excited about opening a store, adding that the time was just right time to make such a move. She explained that Femi Handbags as a brand had always marketed its products through multi-brand concessions and direct deliveries to customers all around the world, However, the time had come to create a new store experience for its customers who were excited to be able to see a fuller range of beautiful handbags and accessories in one location.
On launch day, the new Femi Handbags store opened its doors at 12 noon with the heavens opening up at the same time and the rain coming down. However, the weather did not deter the dozens of visitors who streamed into the new store non-stop all day! New potential customers were impressed by the depth of creativity that surrounded them in the new branded store experience, whilst Femi Handbag loyal customers hurried to snap up their favourite pieces off the shelves.
