The Lioness Lean In breakfast event held in Johannesburg on 14 June 2018 in partnership with Open Workspaces, and held at their great co-working space in Sandton, had an added dimension. A film crew from the Perspectives documentary series were recording the event, capturing the spirit of the Lioness Lean In events, and interviewing Lionesses of Africa founder and ceo, Melanie Hawken.
The Lioness Lean In breakfast events are always the highlights of the year for the Lionesses of Africa community. They provide a regular opportunity for women entrepreneurs in each city across the continent to get together, to share stories, to inspire one another, and to network for greater business success. In 2017 alone, Lionesses of Africa held 54 such events in 15 different African cities, and the 2018 programme of events is currently underway, with each event attracting capacity audiences of around 100 to 150 women entrepreneurs in each location.
