Titi Adewusi is one of the co-founders of 9ijakids, an affordable online learning tool that provides children access to high-quality educational content through fun and engaging online games. Titi is an Engineer by training and a Management Consultant by experience, having worked with one of the Big 4 for over a decade before starting 9ijakids with two of her sisters. 9ijakids, which launched in 2918, has received several awards, both local and international. The business has created jobs for 24 people. Titi is also one of the conveners of Africa’s largest STEM gathering for children to spark a love for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in children aged 7-15 years through career talks, experiential STEAM activities, and games, which has taken place in Nigeria, Ghana, Rwanda and Zambia

Barbara Gwanmesia is the Founder, President & CVO of Batazia – a Netherlands-based edu-tech startup that is dedicated to making reading, writing, and learning possible in all African languages, and to using AI and Machine Translation technologies to enable authentic translation of content into, from and across African languages. Barbara is also the creator of the Afribol snack that became a bestseller in The Netherlands' biggest food retail chain Albert Heijn to-go – raising thousands of euros for the maternity bills of women in Africa who could not pay their hospital bills.  With a background in anthropology, journalism, and social entrepreneurship, Barbara has dedicated her life to seeking ways to change the African narrative in knowledge dissemination and poverty alleviation. She is also an author and a singer; and holds Masters and MPhil degrees in International Relations and African Studies, as well as a Higher Diploma in Journalism.

Mukundi Lambani is the founder of Ambani Africa in South Africa, an innovative ed-tech company committed to promoting multilingual education and improving learning outcomes for children. Her journey into producing began in 2010 with the international 48 Hour Film Project. At just 23, she became the first African producer of the competition, organizing film festivals in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, and Gaborone. This initiative opened doors for over 200 filmmakers, some even making it to Hollywood and Cannes, thanks to Lambani's fundraising efforts. The business was registered in 2018 and started operations in 2020, and now employs 10 people.

Techlit Africa, a social impact business enabling children to fulfill their potential through digital skills development in Kenya

Nelly Cheboi is the founder of TechLit Africa, an organization that teaches digital skills in rural primary schools, and the winner of the 2022 CNN Hero award. Nelly grew up in the rural village of Mogotio in Kenya. She received a full scholarship to study computer science at Augustana College in Illinois in 2012 and graduated in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics and computer science.  Nelly built a school in Kenya, called Zawadi Yetu, during her junior year of college in 2018, and started to transport donated computers from the United States to Kenya. In 2019, she founded the nonprofit TechLit Africa with another software engineer, Tyler Cinnamon, after quitting their jobs. The organization, headquartered in Kenya at Zawadi Yetu, teaches 4000 students aged 5–14 basic computer skills and redistributes recycled technology to enable the creation of computer labs in African schools. They have built 10 computer labs in rural Kenya and have plans for 100 more. In 2022, Nelly was named as one of the 30 under 30 on the Forbes list for social impact and in the same year was also the recipient of the CNN Hero award.

Additionally, she has been recognized as a UNDP-4YFN women innovator and the winner of North Africa's Most Promising Entrepreneur Award at the AfricArena Summit 2022. Through Mango Gate, Safia is dedicated to empowering people through language learning and breaking down communication barriers. She started the business in 2020 and today it employs 12 people.

Khadija Elbedweihy is the founder of PraxiLabs in Egypt, an award-winning tech business founded in 2016 and which now employs 30 people. She graduated top of her class four years in a row, and went on to receive her PhD from the University of Sheffield to be the youngest lecturer in her faculty, with a PhD focused on human-computer interaction and user experience. Together with her belief in adopting technology for improving education and enabling equal opportunities, Khadija founded and is currently managing PraxiLabs with an amazing team who have the same vision as she does. This is her true passion and daily quest. PraxiLabs aims to provide equal opportunity for an enhanced STEM education for students everywhere by providing 3D interactive virtual simulations of science labs that are accessible, usable, and affordable for educational institutions and students alike. PraxiLabs not only provides an immersive virtual lab experience, but adds enriched content that provides students with more understanding and knowledge according to their own pace and learning style.
