Un nouveau guide pratique met en lumière les réussites des entrepreneures africaines dans l’accès au financement

Le guide Financer la croissance des entreprises, publié par l’initiative AFAWA (Banque africaine de développement) et Lionesses of Africa, présente les stratégies et les points de vue de 25 entrepreneures africaines, dont certaines soutenues par AFAWA.

Abidjan, le 20 juillet 2026 — L’initiative AFAWA (Affirmative Finance Action for Women in Africa) du Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement et l’entreprise innovante à impact social Lionesses of Africa ont dévoilé un nouveau guide numérique intitulé ‘Financer la croissance des entreprises’. Cette publication numérique montre comment des entrepreneures africaines mobilisent des capitaux, développent leur entreprise, créent des emplois et contribuent à la croissance économique.

Cette nouvelle publication met à l’honneur 25 entrepreneures africaines issues de 17 pays, dont plusieurs bénéficient d’un soutien direct du programme AFAWA. Elles ont créé des entreprises florissantes et en pleine croissance dans l’agro-industrie, la mode, la finance, les énergies vertes, la santé, les technologies, l’industrie manufacturière, le commerce de détail, la sécurité et la gestion de l’eau.

Le guide Financer la croissance des entreprises présente les expériences d’entrepreneures africaines confrontées aux réalités du financement de la croissance de leur entreprise. À travers des entretiens et des études de cas, la publication met en lumière les stratégies qu’elles ont mises en œuvre pour lever des capitaux et développer leurs activités. Elle offre des conseils pratiques pour gagner la confiance des investisseurs, renforcer les opérations et faire croître des entreprises durables.

Ce guide constitue une ressource pratique destinée aux entrepreneures, aux institutions financières, aux responsables politiques et aux organismes de soutien aux entreprises. Il propose des conseils concrets, fondés sur des expériences réelles, qui aident les entrepreneures à comprendre les attentes des investisseurs et des prêteurs, et à positionner leur entreprise sur la voie de la croissance. Il montre comment un meilleur accès au financement transforme les entreprises détenues par des femmes en Afrique. En documentant des parcours de financement réussis, ce guide souligne le rôle joué par un soutien financier ciblé, des fondamentaux d’entreprise solides et des écosystèmes favorables pour stimuler la croissance.

Le guide Financer la croissance des entreprises repose sur une conviction simple : certaines des leçons les plus précieuses qu’une entrepreneure puisse tirer proviennent d’une autre femme qui a déjà parcouru ce chemin avec succès avant elle, souligne Melanie Hawken, fondatrice de Lionesses of Africa. S’appuyant sur des expériences vécues pour surmonter des défis et obtenir des financements, ce guide offre des conseils pratiques pour aider davantage d’entrepreneures à débloquer les capitaux dont elles ont besoin pour se développer et réussir.

Le programme AFAWA a financé l’élaboration de ce guide en partenariat avec Lionesses of Africa. Cette publication soutient la vision des Quatre Points cardinaux du Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement en partageant des enseignements pratiques qui permettent aux entrepreneures d’accéder au financement, de développer des entreprises plus solides, de créer des emplois et de favoriser une croissance économique plus inclusive. Elle promeut également l’entrepreneuriat et le développement du secteur privé comme moyens de libérer le potentiel démographique de l’Afrique.

Le guide Financer la croissance des entreprises incarne la vision du Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement pour l’avenir de l’Afrique. Chez AFAWA, nous savons que lorsque les entrepreneures ont accès au financement, elles font bien plus que développer leur entreprise : elles créent des emplois, renforcent les communautés et impulsent la transformation économique. Ce guide met en lumière ce qu’il est possible d’accomplir lorsque les entrepreneures peuvent prospérer et fournit des conseils pratiques pour aider davantage de fondatrices à suivre cette voie », explique Melissa Basque-Roux, coordinatrice d’AFAWA.

Cette publication approfondit les recherches sur les inégalités de financement entre les genres en Afrique, en exposant les réalités concrètes auxquelles sont confrontées les entrepreneures dans divers secteurs.

Lionesses of Africa met en relation plus de 1,8 million d’entrepreneures issues de 54 pays africains ainsi que de la diaspora en Europe et en Amérique du Nord. Les plateformes numériques, les ressources d’entreprise, la recherche et les initiatives de soutien aux entrepreneures transforment les entrepreneures africaines. L’organisation s’est associée à AFAWA afin de garantir que ce guide reflète les réalités auxquelles sont confrontées les entrepreneures africaines.

AFAWA est une initiative panafricaine qui œuvre à réduire le déficit de financement de 42 milliards de dollars auquel sont confrontées les entrepreneures en Afrique. Grâce à des solutions de financement, une assistance technique et un engagement politique, AFAWA apporte son soutien à des institutions financières tout en favorisant le développement d’un environnement plus propice pour les femmes d’affaires en Afrique.
