Palesa Mkhulisi is the founder of The Link PR and Marketing Solutions in South Africa, a business focused on helping start-ups to create value, build long-term sustainability, and bring positive changes to their communities through tailored marketing and PR solutions. She is a 24-year-old entrepreneur with a passion for social development and a commitment to solving real-world problems. Raised in Soweto a township in Johannesburg she developed an early appreciation for the power of community and the impact that businesses can have on society. Beyond her role as an entrepreneur, Palesa actively participates in various community outreach programs and advising young business leaders. She is dedicated to fostering the next generation of socially aware entrepreneurs.
From a young age, Palesa demonstrated a keen interest in entrepreneurship and a natural flair for identifying opportunities. Her journey in business began back in her high school days in 2016, where she was involved in events management, artist management, and marketing for brands. This experience ignited her passion for social impact and laid the foundation of her future endeavours. After completing her B. Com-General degree in 2021 she was determined to channel her entrepreneurial spirit into a venture that could make a difference and that is when The Link PR and Marketing Solutions came about. The company mission was clear: to empower start-ups and semi-developed businesses to create value foster long-term sustainability and positively impact their communities.

We provide a variety of marketing and PR services offering our clients a wide pool of resources and tools to help build their brand successfully.
Tell us a little about your team:
I have a team of three. There is one social media manager, one videographer and one web designer. They play a vital role in the successful functioning of the business.
Share a little about your entrepreneurial journey. And do you come from an entrepreneurial background?
My entrepreneurial journey began back in high school in 2016 where I was curious and excited to explore my interests. So I channeled my entrepreneurial spirit into events management, artist management, and marketing for brands. I do have a small number of family members that do have businesses so growing up around them did expose me to a thing or two.

What gives you the most satisfaction being an entrepreneur?
That I am helping people and solving pain points in the community.
What's the biggest piece of advice you can give to other women looking to start-up?
This is a marathon not a race. A journey not a sprint. Plant your seeds, and release control. Carry patience, persistence, hard-work, courage, determination, self-care, good health and positivity.
