Co-owners Brenda and Nick Wilkinson are celebrating their olive harvest and the growth of their multi-award winning brand of olive oil. This will be an event to remember, providing the chance for guests to experience the picking and processing of olives from the Rio Largo Olive Estate, and then a tasting of FRESH olive oil, together with a celebratory meal incorporating the finest Rio Largo Olive Oil. As Brenda says, you never forget the day you taste FRESH olive oil...ever!

The celebratory Rio Largo Olive Estate’s fabulous TREE to TABLE event on 14th May is a great way to celebrate all those Mums out there on this special day - keeping them out of the kitchen and spoiling them with an incredible meal from The Food Anatomy Kitchen. Co-founder Brenda Wilkinson says you can feel Johnny Joseph’s passion in every mouthful of the real feast that awaits guests at this unique Tree to Table event - ending off with lemon olive oil on handmade gelato. An incredible dessert to round off a very special dining experience. Added to the programme line-up is a few of Rio Largo’s favourite women entrepreneur collaborations…look out for Samantha from the I Love Coffee in Cape Town. She is deaf, as are most of the staff employed at this amazing little spot. Brenda has also invited Zikhona, founder of O'live Handmade Soap, a fellow Lioness. Samantha from Oryx Desert Salt will also be part of the collaborative event, another Lioness, as well as Rio Largo neighbours who will be sharing their olives and wine too!

This Tree to Table event will be a day to experience the picking and processing of olives from the RIO LARGO Olive Estate, together with the tasting of FRESH olive oil. One never forgets the day you taste FRESH olive oil...ever!  A day of celebration...from tree to table. There are only a few tickets left - don’t get left out, buy yours now!

Rio Largo Olive Estate, co-owned by entrepreneurial husband and wife team, Brenda and Nick Wilkinson, is one of South Africa's top producers of extra virgin olive oil. The farm has 18 000 olive trees which are farmed in a sustainable manner creating a product they are proud to share with the world! As Brenda passionately says about Rio Largo Olive Oil, “It’s a magical product to be sure, with incredible health and taste benefits... as we say TRY IT-YOU'LL LOVE IT!” The multi-award-winning Rio Largo brand is also well-known for its innovative and beautiful decanters on tap...almost like your own mini olive oil tank! This packaging ensures the olive oil is fresh till the last drop.

Brenda says, “Extra virgin olive oil, ‘EVOO’, is such a magical product! The process is completely natural and the health and taste benefits are untouchable. Olive oil is really a fruit "juice" and should be embraced as such... so we package it in small "mini" tanks...decanters on tap. We have collaborated with various artists so not only is the olive oil revered, but the decanters are a showpiece on the kitchen counter! These innovative designer decanters make great gifts - the gift of health. We even did a personalized decanter with a photo of a bridal couple at their engagement as a gift for their wedding. Each decanter leaves the estate with love.”

Speaking about her aspirations for the Tree to Table event and for the fabulous Rio Largo Olive Oil, Brenda adds, “I just want to share delicious fresh extra virgin olive oil with anyone who cares to embrace it! Give me a lemon, good salt, RIO LARGO olive oil, and I will give you a fish dish, a chicken or meat dish, vegetables, salad...and even dessert with fresh lemon flavoured olive oil and a dash of salt over ice cream! What's not to share?”
