This is how 8C changed me through Personal Branding

March 19, 2023 Melanie Hawken

by Naike Moshi

There is no doubt that building a personal brand takes time and effort. The truth is there are many other benefits available and they can lead to more opportunities than you could ever imagine. Using 8C, I transformed my Personal Branding in the following ways:

CLARITY

As I began my branding journey, I was so confused and did not even know what personal branding was. For me, personal branding was a process of self-discovery. In this process, you learn about yourself, what you hold in your hands (your uniqueness). Being YOU gives you that power.

CONFIDENCE

Discovering one's uniqueness and personal experiences builds confidence in one's abilities and strengths.  You will gain confidence as you develop your voice and become more knowledgeable in your niche.

CONSISTENCY

Consistency is a great habit you can develop when it comes to your personal brand. Consistency is the key to building a successful brand. It's all about consistency. The more consistent your messaging, the stronger your branding - regardless of your content, design, offerings, or perspective.

CONNECTIONS

Your connections grow as your personal brand grows. More connections mean more opportunities. The opportunities include job openings, board positions, speaking engagements, recognitions & awards, networking opportunities, and partnerships.

COMMUNITY

In the process of building my personal brand, my community or tribe began to grow. Depending on your niche or your audience, you can begin connecting with people who share similar interests/values.

CREDIBILITY

Trust and credibility with your audience are the keys to brand authority. The more you build your brand and become a thought leader in your niche, the more people will trust you. Being an expert in your niche will make you the go-to person for questions, challenges, and concerns.

COMPETENCE

The process of personal branding has taught me a lot every day. Every day, I ask myself, "What have I learned today?" The more you learn, the more you can share and earn. As a result of this, I read more books, articles, listened to podcasts, and watched videos. As you acquire knowledge and apply it to your niche, you become a master.

CASH

When you know how to monetize your brand, you can generate additional income streams. If you bring value, people will pay for it. Whether you offer services, books, speaking engagements, or courses, you can turn loyal followers into paying customers. This is something I'm currently working on and will share soon.

In summary, these are just some of the benefits of building your brand today. Taking action now will help you attract more opportunities.

So, how has personal branding changed you? What benefits have you reaped in building a personal brand?
