Lionesses of Africa has launched its new, dedicated Portuguese portal for women entrepreneurs in Africa and the Diaspora. The new portal gives Portuguese speaking women entrepreneurs on the African continent the opportunity to raise their voices and create visibility for themselves, their businesses and brands, connecting them to one another and to new markets.
Almost six years ago, in November 2016, Lionesses of Africa held its first event for Portuguese speaking women business builders in Mozambique. A year later, after several more successful events in Mozambique and Angola, we launched our Bom Dia Leoas daily digital newsletter in Portuguese (read the latest edition here) for our rapidly growing community of women entrepreneurs in Portuguese speaking Africa. Since then we have published over 1,000 Bom Dia Leoas newsletter editions and distributed over 2 million newsletters to our reader inboxes, plus we have hosted many events for women entrepreneurs in both Mozambique and Angola. This week - as experts predict that the majority of Portuguese speakers will be in Africa by the end of the century - it’s time for Lionesses of Africa to announce news of another innovation to support our women entrepreneurs in Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe and Equatorial Guinea, and across the Lusophone diaspora.

Our Lionesses of Africa Portuguese-speaking community of women entrepreneurs has now grown to over 40,000, and they are part of our 1.5 million strong community of women business builders across the African continent and the Diaspora. They play an increasingly important role as they contribute to economic growth and job creation in their countries. This new Lionesses of Africa Portuguese portal aims to support their growth by showcasing their stories, inspiring them through engaging and relevant content, and connecting them to one another and to new markets for shared growth and collaborative business opportunities. This new portal is also all about giving voice to these women entrepreneurs in Portuguese speaking Africa. We have an incredible team of contributor writers, all women entrepreneurs, who bring their personal insights and a wealth of experience to share.
