This month, lovers of great vegan artisanal ice cream in Gauteng, South Africa, will be able to enjoy their favourite treats by shopping online from Yococo. This passion driven business, founded by entrepreneur Sinenhlanhla Ndlela, is serving up love in scoops to her devoted customers, and now they will be able to buy their favourite flavours online.
Yococo is a fun loving, South African, artisanal dairy-free ice cream brand, launched by Sinenhlanhla (Sine) Ndlela who started this fun entrepreneurial trip in 2016, building the business from her apartment. With the help of a few strangers from the building elevator who dared to come taste her ice cream in its infancy, she has built an amazing brand. Sine wanted to create something that was completely vegan friendly and with a strong intention of love. What this means at a practical level is that all the ingredients had to be meaningful, which is why the Yococo team loosely base each of the ice cream flavour profiles on the 7 chakras and colour therapy, and the packaging also had to be environmentally friendly and be fun! Sine says she and her dedicated Yococo team are on a mission to serve love through scoops!
This month sees Yococo launching its first e-commerce website www.yococo.co.za. Customers will be able to buy a wonderful range of Yococo dairy-free ice creams, in a host of exciting flavours, ready for delivery. Each of the ice creams are vegan friendly, gluten free, and don’t use refined sugar. Customer deliveries will be just for Gauteng-based customers for the moment, with plans to expand into nationwide deliveries in the near future. Speaking about the launch of the new e-commerce platform, Yococo founder, Sine Ndlela, says: I'm so excited for this milestone and I am ready for the growth! It’s going to be so much fun to reach out to customers in this way.”

Speaking about her aspirations for the new e-commerce launch, she says:
“We are wanting to sell 1000 tubs and give food parcels during this pandemic to child headed homes and homes with people with disabilities. That is our big hairy audacious goal for our small team at the moment.”
