For all those lovers of luxury brands and products on the African continent, ASPIRE Luxury Magazine in Nigeria, founded by entrepreneur Bella Ikeme, is already a destination of choice for online readers. This month sees the launch of two new digital features which aim to share more positive narratives about African luxury brands and showcase some of the most exciting luxury brands to emerge from the continent.

ASPIRE Luxury Magazine, founded by Bella Ikeme, has built up a dedicated readership following of those in search of information on luxury brands on the African continent. This month, those readers are in for a treat with the launch of two new features on the www.aspireluxurymag.com website - ASPIRE Ones to Watch and ASPIRE Pick of the Week. Bella explains her hopes for the launch of these new features, “It is my desire that partnership and collaborations are made between our home-grown African brands and more established foreign brands as a result of the reach, exposure and coverage from these features.”

ASPIRE Ones to Watch - this feature/service is to specially showcase amazing African Brands with equally amazing founders with a great story to tell. All the businesses and founders featured in this category are extremely interesting and visionary founders who are doing things differently and succeeding with it.

Founder Bella Ikeme says, “We particularly launched this service because we realized that even though there were a lot of Founders in their 20s, they were highly underserved and under-represented in the media. Staying true to our ethos of being a brand that is for aspirationals, we decided to do something about it and the acceptance has been overwhelming.”

Below are some links of the ASPIRE Ones to Watch:

ASPIRE Ones to Watch: Mohini Beauty Set to Become Nigeria's Most Relatable Make Up Brand - Aspire Luxury Magazine

By March, businesses had begun to feel the sting of the Coronavirus, which only hurt more as globally enforced lockdowns forced a lot of them to close down physical structures. In fact, quite a number of these businesses would not survive, the closed sign on their doors giving way to empty buildings devoid of anything ...

ASPIRE Ones to Watch: Pepper Row is a Fusion of Style and Sustainability - Aspire Luxury Magazine

It is not every day that you see a chemical engineer rip apart fashion trends on the path to creating new ones, but then again, it is not every day you get a brand that literally wants your eyes to water in excitement while you stand in line, patiently waiting your turn to be blessed ...

ASPIRE Pick of the Week - this feature/service is to specially showcase and celebrate African or what we prefer to call 'Afroluxe' brands of a keen local relevance but having global standards with an evident global appeal.

Bella adds, “Every Friday we will celebrate African and or African inspired brands who are breaking boundaries and creating, innovating, building and delivering amazing products and services. It is one of the best performing and most-anticipated features on the site and has quickly proven to be a favourite amongst brands, media and PR professionals. We are proud to say that featured brands and businesses have found the visibility and reach extremely useful. We are therefore, always on the look out for authentic stories and brands to feature in this category.”

ASPIRE Pick of the Week: The Must-Have Bags by Aaboux - Aspire Luxury Magazine

When Zainab Aliyu decided to embrace the creative side of her genes, she did not immediately think 'luxury leather bags.' "I am a chartered accountant, but I come from a family of creatives...so I always knew that I was one," she tells me over a recent phone interview.

Speaking about what makes ASPIRE different in the marketplace, she says:

“We are currently the only African online magazine focused on the HNI segment with a view to telling the more positive narratives about Africa - from the unique materials and fine craftsmanship of our artisans to the amazing globally positioned brands and businesses being created.”

Sharing the background and ethos of ASPIRE Luxury Magazine, Bella says:

“ASPIRE is an online destination for luxury lovers across Africa. Our goal is to provide an online platform for luxury brands, while engaging an affluent audience. We inspire and inform Luxury lifestyle enthusiasts on the latest in luxury trends, by shining the spotlight onto the finer things in life. ASPIRE curates the best in luxury, with categories such as afroluxe, arts, beauty, autos, epicurean, living, style, tech and travel. Our world-class content producers and writers report on interesting trends cover events and share their unique experiences. We aspire to go beyond the surface. We tell a story and build awareness for African and International luxury brands. We are selective of the advertisers that we work with and the brands that we feature. We are committed to telling the story of African and African Inspired individual and corporate premium and luxury brands, to ensure that the unique African narrative is highlighted and presented in the best manner possible - to a Pan-African and global audience. Our promise is to work closely with new and existing luxury brands to organically integrate and feature their products & services to make our readers feel like insiders. These new features are a further celebration of the uniqueness of Africa and our people.”
