The business uses premium genuine leather sourced locally and its designs are impressively influenced by African culture and it's people. This design ethos is visible in the names of the products that are created.
This month sees the launch and creation of a one-of-a-kind knee-high boot that is custom-made to fit any customer’s unique leg shape and physical structure. The first boot design to be offered to customers is the ‘Zambia’ boot. This beautifully styled boot has been specifically designed to accommodate any shape and size of leg and foot. It’s unique design has been created with the thick-calved African woman in mind, and it represents not only great style but also comfort.
What makes Star Reflexion’s new Zambia boot so special is that women with different types of leg shapes haven't been able to wear long boots for the longest time as retailers don't offer that kind of boot anywhere. So with the Zambia customized boot, it accommodates any shape and size of our customers’ unique curved legs.
Founder Olaotse Disipi has big aspirations for the brand and its exciting new products, such as the Zambia boot. “One Sunday afternoon in 2012 after church, we went to a family friend’s house for lunch, and there we were talking about our struggles (having beautiful thick African Calves/Tlhafu) of getting the right fit winter boots. A seed was planted and an idea came to life and the journey of Star Reflexion’s Zambia boot creation began, one of the main reasons why this brand was born. 7 years of sweat and tears, late nights and endless research later, and today customers can experience the end result - beautiful, customized boots that accommodate any shape and size of legs you have.”
