AN ANNUAL CONSCIOUS GATHERING SUPPORTING THE COLLECTIVE SHIFT THROUGH INDIVIDUAL SELF-REALIZATION
Swaady Martin, the entrepreneur and founder of luxury lifestyle brand YSWARA, is launching an exciting new initiative and one that is close to her heart. Following hot on the heels of two other exciting projects she has launched in 2018, her new company SHIFT WITHIN, and the publication of a collection of spiritual tales for children MALAIKA AND THE ANGEL, she is now launching Tounché, Global Consciousness Summit on Saturday 1st December 2018.
The theme of this year’s inaugural Tounché, Global Consciousness Summit event is “Uniting in a polarized world”. Tounché means “shift” in the Yoruba language of Benin and Nigeria, and the Summit is an important gathering intentionally designed to create a fundamental shift in persons of color to unite in an increasingly polarized world. It is intended to serve as a safe space to engage in topics specific to communities of color and the spiritual journey, encourage healing and renewal through workshops and empower the next generation of thought leaders through wisdom preservation from an African perspective.
Tounché is a platform of exchange and inspiration to foster new ideas & positive change anchored in individual growth and self-realization. The inaugural event will also mark the institution of the GLOBAL CONSCIOUSNESS DAY on December, 1st. Tounché aims to be an annual conscious gathering supporting the collective shift through individual self-realization. It will be held in the sacred place where all of humankind originated: The Cradle of Humankind UNESCO World Heritage site, 1 hour outside of Johannesburg, South Africa.
Tounché Global Consciousness Summit is a day-long soul retreat created by persons of color for persons of color. When perusing the spiritual event landscape it is easy for communities of color to feel marginalized or even unwelcomed. Tounché wants to change that by creating a safe space to engage in topics specific to communities of color and the spiritual journey, encourage healing and renewal through workshops and empower the next generation of thought leaders through open multi-generational dialogue.
The Summit will feature 40 top African and international thought-leaders, wisdom keepers, global experts, spiritual visionaries, healers, yoga and meditation teachers, including leading spiritual vlogger Prince EA, business icon Wendy Luhabe, genius creative duo Art Comes First, leading Arab vlogger Haifa Beseisso, celebrity yogini Alex Kaufmann, and elder Dr Fazal Randera (Truth & Reconciliation Commission), among others.
Attendees to the Summit will have the opportunity to interact with, and learn from these inspiring leaders who will share wisdom and real-world experiences, aimed at healing the divide and setting a new tone of compassionate engagement for dealing with our differences and pains. The Summit will explore topics such as: uniting through race relations, releasing fears, gender relations, and how to connect despite different belief systems. The Summit is expected to attract between 250-300 participants.
