Share a little about your entrepreneurial journey. And, do you come from an entrepreneurial background?

I started working as a teenager at my grandmother's catering company in 2004 as a waitress for social and corporate events, then as a protocol officer, and in 2006/2007, I moved to sales and collections. In 2009, I became a mother and had to slow down. I became executive secretary to the General Director of 99FM and, in 2010, Secretary to the General Manager of TOP radio, but always as a temporary employee at events. In 2013, I started working for Doctors Without Borders Switzerland and started my first network business at Avon as a beauty products reseller. I then joined Honey and Inuka, and finally from 2015 to 2021, I joined Tupperware Mozambique, where I was a group leader for 4 years. I had a few other administrative jobs, but the breakthrough came in 2019 when I managed the partnerships department for TEDx Maputo and Things 4U Services. There, I discovered that I enjoyed corporate events, marketing, and people. In 2020, I registered MJ Consulting and started working without a plan, without knowledge, without anything. But because things were difficult without knowledge, in 2021, I joined as Agency Manager of Playground Mozambique, where my client was StandardBank Mozambique—the most exciting adventure of my life. Marketing for a bank like STB is more than just managing a company; it's also managing all its clients. In 2022, my contract ended, and I started working as Brand Director at an events company in Nampula, where most of the events I ran were for the government. In 2023, I worked for a few months in Technology at NTT Dimension Data, and the last job on my resume was as Commercial Coordinator at ISUTC Executive Education. Today, I feel I'm living my purpose as an entrepreneur and social activist.

What are your future plans and aspirations for your company?

I want to replicate my leadership model so that my children can become CEOs, and so that professionals can be successful in their career development, have representation in every province of the country, and internationalize the brand to the world.

What gives you the most satisfaction being an entrepreneur?

The satisfaction of my clients, the daily learning, and the positive impact on the people who come into contact with us.

What's the biggest piece of advice you can give to other women looking to start-up?
