Share a little about your entrepreneurial journey. And do you come from an entrepreneurial background?

After graduating, in 2015 the desire to be an entrepreneur grew so much that I started selling cosmetics but it was not enough because the desire was always to “impact lives”, “make a change”. Until, due to responsible leadership, he decided to create a sustainable project and it was the production of fertilizer/compost made by N’toko. That was possible after winning the Startupper Challenges contest from Total Energies and later ClimateLaunchpad in Mozambique where we came in third place. As a social responsibility of N'toko, the project named EcoMissava was created, a Solid Waste Management fair because we believe that it was one of the ways to draw the attention of public and private institutions, teaching institutions, non-governmental organizations to this environmental problem and big polluter. The first edition was in November last year.

What are your future plans and aspirations for your company?

N'toko's challenge is to have an office and its own space for compost production, being able to employ more young people and have a more mechanized production. Bet on other types of waste whose disposal is not adequate in Mozambique.

What gives you the most satisfaction being an entrepreneur?

Being able to contribute to society, impacting lives and seeing changes in attitudes towards the environment. Accompany potential young entrepreneurs in their search for change and development.

What's the biggest piece of advice you can give to other women looking to start-up?

It is necessary to lose the fear of taking risks, creating projects and leaving them in storage, waiting for the right moment. If the project is very ambitious, consider how to start small, as castles are built brick by brick. The little one makes the change and I just need to take the first step.
