About the author

Sorana Blackfoot is a prosperity mentor; women business owners hire her to ignite a love affair with their money, because most are bad with numbers, afraid to look bad and too embarrassed to ask for help. So, she helps them create, preserve and transfer their wealth. Originally from Romania, Sorana has been living in Richmond, VA, since 2002. Coming to a new country, she built a successful career to make it worth the sacrifice of uprooting herself. During her 10+ years career in finances, she learned that a lot of women are uncomfortable with their finances and therefore, are left in a very precarious situation if/when they are alone due to divorce or widowhood. Sorana has co-authored 4 books in the last 3 years: “Remarkable Results”, “Goal for it!”, “Get It Done!” and “Get It Designed”, and has published her own book in January 2018 – “New World, New Dreams: My Money Story” – where she shares her life story and the money lessons she has learned by living on 2 continents, through 3 different regimes. Sorana believes in empowering women to achieve financial serenity by building better relationships with their money. Through her company, Un-Broke Women, she founded BRIL Conference – Business Resources for Inspiring Leaders – a business conference for women, which happens annually in March, in Richmond, VA. The mission of the conference is to empower women to design the business of their dreams. By applying the knowledge shared by the expert speakers, the participants can build their business to the size of their dreams, and impact their community.

Why LoA loves it….

As women entrepreneurs, we never stop learning when building our businesses, and one of the best places to learn is from other successful entrepreneurs. And it doesn’t matter how long you have been in business, you are never too old or too experienced to learn something new. Sorana Blackfoot in her new book Get It Developed, has brought together a group of highly experienced entrepreneurial minds to share their insights, their expertise and their ideas on what it takes to build a great, sustainable business. This is a wealth of knowledge in one place, and presented in an easy to read format, will be a go-to source of information and inspiration for all women entrepreneurs. — Melanie Hawken, founder & ceo of Lionesses of Africa
