Protecting personal and corporate information in cyberspace
Growing awareness of the need to protect personal and corporate information in cyberspace has led to the need for expert training and development of staff in these knowledge areas. In South Africa, two companies - DesignTech Training Academy and Orizur Consulting Enterprise - have collaborated on a range of solutions to address this skills deficit.
DesignTech Training Academy (DTTA), founded by Sharmantha Valjee, together with Orizur Consulting Enterprise, founded by Adv. Lufuno T Khorommbi, have just launched a new collaboration. (DTTA) is a Black Woman Owned, BEE Level 1 Training Provider which also offers compliance training, specifically Protection of Personal Information Act Training (POPI). Orizur is a Consulting Enterprise specializing in cyber law and provides variety of interlinked quality ICT related services, including cyber security, contract management, procurement, and intellectual property including education and training, as well as policy management. This new collaboration between the two companies aims to encourage clients attending training at DTTA to also enhance their Cyber Security by means of consulting with Orizur; and vice versa: DTTA’s POPI ACT Training will be offered to Orizur’s consulting clients. The collaboration represents a ‘win-win’ for both companies and also for the clients who are trained.
