The 6th Mozambique Gas Summit & Exhibition has just taken place on 13 to 14 November. One of the highlights of this year’s event was a special awards ceremony to honour the 2019 Mozambique Industry Award Winners. The prestigious Outstanding Woman of the Year Award was presented to Eugenia Langa, CEO and Founder of NWEBA. Nweba is the first Mozambican Company dedicated to Procurement and Logistics for the sectors of Construction, Oil & Gas, Mining and Energy, and has a team of certified International Procurement Professionals with more than 10 years of experience. The company prides itself on providing a market solution to the challenges of these sectors in Mozambique.
The 6th Mozambique Gas Summit & Exhibition, in partnership with ENH, took place on 13 – 14 November 2019 and has been the largest, most successful energy event in Mozambique to date. A true testament of the exciting growth and opportunities that the country’s sector has to offer. Officially opened by H.E. Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, President of the Republic of Mozambique, the event welcomed over 1000 attendees from the entire value chain, 130 exhibiting companies, 55 expert speakers and 11 industry sponsors who came together to share insights, do business and collaborate towards the successful development of the gas and LNG industry. Following H.E. the President’s official address, Summit attendees heard keynote presentations from senior Government representatives and Government-led institutions including: H.E. Ernesto Max Tonela, Minister of Mineral Resources & Energy, Republic of Mozambique; H.E. Júlio Parruque, Governor, Province of Cabo Delgado; Omar Mithá, Chairman & CEO, ENH; and Carlos Zacarias, President, INP. Key project stakeholders already working in the country also provided in-depth updates on the progress of the gas and LNG developments.
