Luxury tea and lifestyle brand, Yswara, founded by the inspirational entrepreneur Swaady Martin, has just opened its first store and tearoom in Maboneng "Place of light", Johannesburg. Since its launch 3.5 years ago, it is the first time YSWARA has had the opportunity to share its vision and experience with customers directly. It is a proud milestone for the brand and the beginning of its direct retail journey.
The afro-zen decor in the signature YSWARA rose gold & desert pink color, reflects the brand's Pan-African spirit with inspiration from all parts of Africa. Every detail has meaning, and founder Swaady welcomes visitors to ask questions when they visit the new store and tearoom or through social media.
Since the beginning of 2016, Yswara's products are manufactured and/or packaged in the company's own factory in the UNESCO World Heritage site if the Cradle of Humankind, about 45min outside Johannesburg. Like the location of the factory, the location of the first Yswara store is symbolic. In the Sankofa spirit, the past is celebrated through the brand being hosted in the historical and iconic building THE COSMOPOLITAN, built in 1899. The building is as architecturally unique to Johannesburg as it is beautiful, and forms part of the historical narrative of the city.
Following its Luxe Ubuntu, Yswara champions an inclusive luxury, accessible to all and where the extraordinary can be found in the heart of the vibrant inner city, in a place where people from all spheres of life interact and mingle, overcoming artificial social barriers to embrace the oneness of Humankind.
