Njeri Rionge has established a special awards programme and summit for Kenya’s budding entrepreneurs - the Ignite Scaling Your Business Upwards. The new Awards and Summit offer local SMEs and upcoming entrepreneurs the opportunity to network with their peers and industry leaders, and to learn how to expand and grow their companies. The Ignite Scaling Your Business Upwards Summit will be held on 18-19 September 2012 at The Junction Mall, Nairobi.

Njeri Rionge is organising a new entrepreneur and small business award, aimed at providing budding entrepreneurs in Kenya with the chance of winning $12,000 to support their new ventures. The ‘Innovation & Business Award’ was created to celebrate innovation and entrepreneurship by identifying the most innovative new businesses coming out of Kenya. The awards will be unveiled at the inaugural Scaling Your Business Upwards Summit, which is to be held in Nairobi in September 2012. The summit offers upcoming entrepreneurs the opportunity to network with their peers and industry leaders and learn how to expand and grow their companies. It also focuses on questions that entrepreneurs and growing businesses will want answered in their quest to scale their businesses and take them to the next level. Njeri said the summit and award will inspire upcoming entrepreneurs and support their business ventures. The winners are to be announced in January 2013.
